Billing in the Netherlands and EU

Configure EUR payments and validate your business VAT information.

Netherlands and EU businesses use EUR invoices by default. Enter the legal payer and tax details under Organization Settings → Billing → Details in Console.

Payment methods

Add a card under Billing → Payment Methods. For SEPA Direct Debit, select Add payment method → SEPA debit, enter the account holder and IBAN in the provider form, and accept the mandate. Confirm Active before selecting it as the default.

A debit can show Payment pending until the bank returns its result. Check that result before submitting another payment. For approved EUR transfers, use the invoice's beneficiary and reference; see bank payments.

VAT

For ordinary taxable domestic services, the Netherlands standard VAT rate is 21%. A Dutch VAT number does not remove domestic VAT. See the Dutch Tax Administration's VAT rates.

If your business is in the EU outside the Netherlands, enter its registration country and VAT ID under Billing → Details → Tax information. Select Validate tax ID, check for Validated, and confirm that the legal payer matches.

Qualifying cross-border B2B services can use reverse charge. The invoice states the treatment; the customer accounts for the required VAT.

For Under review, submit registration evidence through Tax information → Submit document. Use invoice corrections for an already issued tax line.
