Organizations and business ownership
Understand the boundary between your account, your business organization, and its products.
An organization is the shared management scope for a business using Solarius. It brings together colleagues, administrative permissions, product access, and billing. Manage organizations in Console.
Account and organization boundaries
Your account represents you. Organization membership authorizes work for a business. A person can belong to several organizations, with different responsibilities in each. Your role in one organization does not grant authority in another.
Products can add narrower scopes such as projects, teams, or protected resources. Use their product documentation for those permissions. Assign the Billing Contact role for finance work and the required product roles for operational access.
Ownership and administration
The owner is responsible for organization administration and continuity. Assign day-to-day administration and finance responsibilities through roles. Keep a backup administrator and document who can request ownership recovery for your business.
Use transfer ownership before the current owner leaves. An administrative ownership change does not itself amend a contract, substitute the invoiced legal entity, or transfer externally held assets.
Choose an organization structure
Use a separate organization when a business requires separate ownership, membership, and billing administration. Use product-level scopes to organize resources within the same business when they meet those requirements. Review isolation and invoicing needs before creating additional organizations.
To start a new organization, follow creation. For renaming, consolidation, or a change of legal entity, contact support before moving production work. Closure uses a separate organization deletion request.
