Transfer a monitor to another organization
Transfer a monitor between organizations with shared ownership.
Only a person who is an owner of both the source and target organizations can transfer a monitor. Use the Transfer button in the monitor's detail drawer, choose the target organization, and select Transfer monitor.
What moves
- The monitor's configuration, including its schedule and classifications.
- Scheduled check results, workbench results, and configuration history.
- The monitor's current health and heartbeat token.
What is left behind
The transfer detaches everything that is bound to the source organization:
- Dependencies and suppression edges are removed in both directions, and private-agent assignments are cleared.
- Incidents and their timelines remain in the source organization as history; the monitor is removed from their affected-monitor fields.
- Alert channels, severity rules, maintenance windows, and deployment correlations that selected the monitor drop it.
- Source status-page component mappings are removed; no destination component is selected implicitly.
- A scheduled report scoped to the monitor is detached and disabled.
Both organizations receive an audit event for the transfer.
