Custom dashboards

Create personal boards and configure their widgets.

The Overview page displays configurable widget boards. Boards belong to one user and one organization. Each user maintains separate boards for each organization.

Each user can create up to 12 boards per organization with up to 40 widgets per board. One board is the default. Status creates an initial board when the user first opens Overview.

Boards

The board switcher at the top of the page lists your boards and marks the default. Its menu covers:

  • New board…: start with an empty board, then add and arrange widgets.
  • Duplicate board: copies every widget and its position into a new board.
  • Rename board…: board names are only visible to you.
  • Set as default: choose which board the overview opens on.
  • Reset to default arrangement: stages the shipped layout for saving.
  • Delete board: removes the board and its arrangement; your monitors and their data are untouched.

The last remaining board cannot be deleted; reset it instead. Deleting the default promotes the next board.

Edit a board

Select Customize to enter edit mode. Outside edit mode the board is inert.

  • Drag a widget by its header, or focus its grip and use the arrow keys. Hold Shift to resize.
  • Undo and redo walk back every move, resize, add, and removal in the session.
  • A widget's own menu renames it, pins it in place, duplicates it, or removes it. A pinned widget is neither moved nor resized, and is never displaced by something dropped on it.
  • Add a widget opens the gallery, grouped by category and searchable. It stays open so a board can be filled in one pass.

Save layout persists changes. Discard changes restores the saved layout. Removing a widget compacts the remaining layout.

Widgets

The catalog covers:

  • Signals: availability, mean and P95 response, checks run, open incidents, recovery time, agent fleet.
  • Charts: response time, check volume, availability trend, an availability gauge, coverage by check type, fleet status.
  • Fleet: service health, needs attention, slowest responses, agent fleet.
  • Operations: deployments, active incidents, maintenance, activity, detection and recovery.

Widgets resize to fit their grid cells. Loading a saved board removes widgets that are no longer available in the current release.

Any role may arrange their own overview, including a viewer. Boards are personal, so another member's boards are not visible to you, and arrangement changes are not written to the audit log.
