User profiles, account, and preferences
Account profile fields, organization details, and timezone preferences.
Every account has one profile shared across its organizations: display name,
unique @handle, profile picture, job title, pronouns, bio, and timezone. The
role, teams, and joined date shown alongside it come from the organization the
viewer is currently using.
Hovering or focusing a member's name or picture shows a compact card. Clicking or tapping opens the full profile drawer without leaving the current task. Profiles are available only to members who share an organization.
Profile pictures
JPEG, PNG, and WebP files up to 5 MiB are accepted. Status crops the image to a square and stores a 512×512 WebP. SVG and animated images are rejected. Uploaded pictures take precedence over the SSO provider picture, which in turn takes precedence over initials.
Pictures are private objects served only to members who share an organization.
Account and sign-in
Settings → Profile shows the sign-in email and manages a local password when password sign-in is enabled. An SSO-only account can add a password; an account that already has one must supply its current password to change it. Password reset links requested from the login page are one-time and expire after one hour.
Settings → Security & sessions shows the connected identity provider and current session, and can sign out the current session. API keys are organization automation credentials, not personal sign-in credentials; manage them separately as described in Scoped API keys.
Language and appearance
Settings → Language selects English, Spanish, or French for the signed-in user. Status also localizes date, time, duration, and number formatting. A status page chooses its own language, independent of the operator who edits it.
Settings → Appearance controls light/dark mode, text size, density, corner radius, and accent. These are personal presentation settings and do not change public status-page design. See Status pages for public themes, colors, layout, and custom CSS.
Organization and workspace settings
The remaining settings sections have different scopes:
- Organization controls name, slug, raw-result retention, and the default maintenance timezone. Requires admin; deleting the organization is owner-only.
- Instance is self-hosted only and controls public URL, trusted proxy headers, telemetry, profile-image storage, authentication, mail relay, and worker-token rotation. Environment-pinned values are read-only.
- Notifications controls the personal notification center and browser enrollment.
- Tags & folders manages shared tag colors and folder names/icons used by monitor classification.
- Workspace summarizes monitor, environment, status-page, region, worker, and configuration-revision coverage.
Instance and organization settings require the appropriate role. Changes that affect credentials use write-only markers so an unchanged secret is never sent back to the browser. See Configuration and Roles, members, and teams.
