RadarChart
Radial chart comparing several series across the same set of variables, such as security posture, skill matrices, or benchmark scores.
Component behavior
RadarChart plots each series as a polygon over shared axes. Overlaid polygons show relative strengths and weaknesses across dimensions; they do not communicate exact values.
- A few records compared across the same numeric dimensions.
- Current-versus-target or before-and-after profiles.
- Comparisons of multivariable profiles.
BarChart: exact magnitudes on one dimension must be compared.
ParallelCoordinates: the dataset has many records or dimensions.
BulletChart: metrics have separate targets and scales.
Props
axes sets the spokes, clockwise from the top; each RadarSeries supplies one value per axis in the same order. All values share a single domain (the outer ring), so the dimensions must be on comparable scales (normalise to 0–100 first if they are not).
| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
axes | string[] | — | Axis labels, clockwise from the top. Their count sets the number of spokes. |
series | RadarSeries[] | — | Each series has a label, one value per axis (in axis order), and an optional color; missing colors draw from the palette. |
size | number | 260 | Width and height of the square web, in pixels. |
max | number | — | Value at the outer ring. Defaults to a rounded ceiling over the data. |
levels | number | 4 | Number of concentric grid rings. |
noLegend | boolean | — | Hide the legend. Shown by default when there is more than one series. |
