Go, Python, and TypeScript SDKs
Configure official clients and handle operation polling, retries, and scoped resource IDs.
Official Go, Python, and TypeScript SDKs expose typed clients for Infra resources. They use the API origin, authenticated identity, and explicit organization and project IDs; they do not infer production scope from a resource name.
Select a release
Use the SDK release listed in Developer tools → SDKs for the installed API. Pin it in the application's dependency file and retain the resolved dependency lock. Generated types can add fields as the server evolves, while a breaking change requires a compatible SDK release.
Configure the API URL including /api/v1, a token supplied by a secret store,
a request timeout, and bounded retry settings. A self-hosted private CA requires
an approved trust configuration rather than disabled TLS verification.
Resource and operation results
Create methods return the accepted resource summary and operation reference. Read methods return configuration plus revision metadata. Update methods accept that revision to preserve conditional-write behavior.
Use the SDK's operation waiter or poll the Operation API. A waiter deadline stops waiting; it does not cancel the server action. Go context cancellation, Python task cancellation, and a TypeScript abort signal similarly stop their client work unless an explicit server cancel action is issued.
Retry identity
Provide one stable idempotency key per intended create or action. Retries retain that identity and request body. A failed local process needs to persist the key and returned IDs if another process will recover its work.
Validation, permission, quota, and stale-revision errors require application handling rather than unconditional retries. Respect server retry timing and avoid starting a second mutation merely because the first connection timed out.
Pagination and errors
Use resource iterators that follow opaque cursors and preserve selected filters. A traversal is not an immutable inventory snapshot. Deduplicate IDs when building an external cache.
Typed errors retain machine code, request ID, details, and operation reference when present. Log those identifiers without bearer tokens, connection URLs, or secret-bearing request bodies.
Use GraphQL for selective relationship reads, Terraform or Pulumi for managed deployment state, and webhooks for event-driven integration.
